Join us for our first Studio Session, as we explore the broader creative landscape and how that looks for Bendigo. What are we doing well and what could we be doing better? What support and opportunities are available for local creatives? Your thoughts, comments and questions for our panel are encouraged, and we will try to answer as many of these as we are able.
Our expert panel for this Studio Session are:
Cr Matt Emond, City of Greater Bendigo
The cultural and creative industries makeup 13.3% of employment in Greater Bendigo. In July 2019, Bendigo released its Greater Creative Bendigo Strategy, aimed at supporting the growth and development of the arts and creative industries in the region. The strategy contains 33 specific actions, we would love to hear from you about any and all points that concern you!
Micheal Hudson, Director Creative Victoria
Victoria’s creative and cultural economy is worth in excess of $31 billion. In 2016 Creative Victoria released their first Creative State strategy, aimed at strengthening and growing Victoria’s creative industries. How does this help to support the Bendigo region and what does it mean for regionally based organisations and practitioners in the current climate?
